Yggdrasill
Our archetypes come from the North, bonded to mighty forests and gods. From the lands of ice and fire, from the plains of Yggdrasill. From the stormiest waters calmed into the embrace of the fjords. From the sacred lands whose kings were worshippers of noble fate.

Yggdrasill | Runic Architecture
Yggdrasill is a project launched in March 2026, for living spaces design and construction, characterized by massive oak frames - referring to the theory that the Norse Cosmic Tree was an oak - and by runic symbolism developed in both architectural and structural geometries. Yggdrasill is the most advanced project by White Oak Arkitecture, in terms of systemic and harmonic integration of functional, aesthetic, structural, and spiritual-energetic needs that we consider what makes the difference between a living space that simply protects, and another one that protects and heals.
Dancing with the Earth
In 1980, the Irpinia earthquake damaged my family's house. It was one of the most terrific earthquakes in the history of Italy. Hundreds of thousands of houses collapsed like sand castles on a rainy day. Even concrete buildings were severely damaged, shattering their common mythical consideration as the eternal material. We could go back home after two years. I was nine years old, and since that experience I have been obsessed with antiseismic systems.
I will never forget the horrific sound of the house cracking all around us in the darkness of the night, while my brother, my parents, and I, all together in just one hug, were protecting each other, waiting for the end of the earthquake. Years later, remembering that experience, when I needed to decide which high-school to start, I had clear I wanted to become a good-houses designer and builder. Only bad-built houses can kill people. The well-built can only allow to earthquakes to invite them to dance.
